The American Hospital has welcomed Mr. David Wisner, Chargé d'Affaires at the American Embassy by Dr. Klodian Allajbeu, CEO of the American Hospital. During this visit Dr. Allajbeu presented the hospital infrastructure, the investments started since 2008 by the Southeast Europe Equity Fund ll which have improved the health service in Albania.

The innovative technology offered by General Electric, Medtronic, Jonson and Jonson, Boston Scinetific, etc., coupled with the expertise of Albanian and foreign doctors, has served as a catalyst not only for the American Hospital but also for the public health service in the country, giving patients opportunities Albanians to receive advanced health services where years ago they were only possible abroad.

Mr. Wisner visited the Radiology Department of the STROKE Center and met the medical team led by Prof. Dr. Mentor Petrela to learn more about the advanced medical services offered at American Hospital.

Dr. Allajbeu presented the general history of the hospital, successes, past and current challenges that the health system faces, as well as plans to increase the presence of American brands in order to improve the medical service to Albanian citizens./ CNA
