SPAK to the US/Dumani meetings in DASH, DEA and FBI officials

A group of senior SPAK officials together with the head of this institution, Altin Dumani, are this week in Washington, DC, in the United States of America on a study visit.

Some other prosecutors are also part of the delegation, including former leader Arben Kraja.   

Prosecutors of the Special Anticorruption Structure have also discussed security challenges with the US Marshals Service, which protects judges, prosecutors, court staff and witnesses.


In an announcement on the social network on Facebook, the US Embassy in Albania writes that the visit of SPAK officials will also include meetings with the US Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation of Investigation (FBI).

"Senior SPAK officials are participating in a study visit to Washington, DC this week. Led by members of the U.S. Embassy in Tirana's Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT) team, SPAK officials met with key Department of Justice leaders from OPDAT and the International Assistance Program for Training for Criminal Investigations (ICITAP).

SPAK prosecutors also discussed security challenges with the United States Marshals Service, which protects America's judges, prosecutors, court staff and federal witnesses.
