Scandal with Tirana's incinerator/ Kelliçi: Citizens pay 29 euros/ton, the process is not done

The candidate for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has spoken about the affair and the theft that is done to the citizens regarding the incinerator of Tirana.

In an interview with journalist Endri Xhafo, he said that citizens pay about 29 euros per ton for the Tirana incinerator.

Among other things, he said that Erion Veliaj cannot avoid justice, for the contract he signed regarding this affair.

 "Tirana's disaster is Tirana's incinerator. Citizens pay 80,000 euros per day. Citizens pay 29 euros per ton for waste incineration. Cremation does not take place. It pays business owners who are looking internationally. If I am the mayor that citizens' money goes to people who are in international search, I would be worried. With the same technology that treated the waste 6 years ago, the same process is done today.

Tirana's incinerator, Erion Veliaj, undertook a 30-year commitment to Tirana Municipality in 2017. He cannot avoid justice, for the contract he signed. Because of this letter, Erion Veliaj should be a defendant in SPAK", declared Kelliçi./ CNA.al
