Flood situation in the last 24 hours/Civil Emergencies: Several families have

Civil Emergencies have published updated information regarding the situation from the rainfall and the problems caused in the last 24 hours.

In the published information, the Emergencies Department indicates that the situation has stabilized in some areas, while in some of them, several families have been evacuated.

 

 

Updated information

 

During the last 24 hours, all civil emergency structures, under the coordination of the National Civil Protection Agency, have continuously monitored the situation created as a result of the rainfall of recent days, in several regions of the country.

In some areas the situation is stabilized, while in Vlora, Lezha, Fier, etc. several families have been evacuated.

Below is the detailed situation by regions and municipalities:

 

VLORA DISTRICT

The withdrawal of the Vjosa waters has begun today.

Due to high flows of the Vjosa River, 7 families were evacuated yesterday in the Novoselo administrative unit, who settled with relatives.

Also, 3 families near the Mifoli bridge were evacuated for safety reasons. In total, 10 families had been evacuated by yesterday evening.

Himara Municipality

After the contractor's intervention, the road, which was blocked in the segment between the villages of Shën Vasil–Nivicë, has been reopened, while work continues to clear the Selenicë–Rromës segment.

Municipality of Saranda

The Saranda-Delvinë axis is under monitoring in a place called Shelegar, where there is water due to the overflow of the Kalasa River.

Work is continuing as a priority to avoid danger to homes in the village of Çukë, where the embankment of the Bistrica River has been damaged.

OSHEE teams are working to reconnect power to the Llogara tunnel.

Work is also underway to clear the road at Shkallë Qafë Botë and in the segment from the fuel station to the center of Konispol.

The forces on the ground have made it possible to clean the water in a house in Ksamil and in Metoq, while work continues in a house in the village of Vrion where there is water present in one house.

The access roads to the municipality of Delvina are all passable. There are 30 officers and 3 vehicles of the Gjirokaster DRG in support. The Vlora municipality's waterworks are working at full capacity.

 

FIER COUNTY

The situation created as a result of the Vjosa floods is being monitored with maximum attention.

The river in Kashisht-Çerven-Ferras has overflowed its bed but is within the embankment, while 50-60 ha of agricultural land are under water. 1 family with 2 members has been evacuated in Çerven.

There is water in the courtyards of 30 buildings in the villages of Kashisht, Cerven, Ferras. As a precautionary measure, the pumps at the water supply station in Kafaraj have been shut down.

There is also an increase in flows in the Seman River, but without danger to homes.

 

KORÇA DISTRICT

The situation is being monitored as a result of the swelling of the Devoll and Dunavec rivers.

In some areas such as Drsnik, Bulgarec and neighborhood no. 6, temporary water diversion is taking place.

An apartment in Sheqeras is being raided.

The contractor is working to clear fallen rocks from the Qafë Plloçë–Qukës and Pogradec–Qafë Thanë axes.

 

LEZHA DISTRICT

In the Shenkoll and Zejmen units, the water level from the breach in the Vaini lagoon embankment continues to rise, but emergency teams are working to avoid danger to homes and businesses.

In cases where necessary, evacuation by boat has also been carried out, while works to repair the embankment will continue today.

Interventions continue on the Skuraj-Gallatë-Vinjollë axis, in the Kurbin municipality.

In the municipality of Mirdita, the situation is stabilized; road rehabilitation is continuing.

The Drin River has a drop in level, while the hydroelectric dams are operating, except for Talen.

 

DURRA DISTRICT

There is no increase in the level of the Erzen, Ishëm, and Zezë rivers. The dams in Porto Romano and Hamallaj are operating normally.

The cleaning of the Tona and Tarin canals continues. The Erzen River has begun to recede.

The situation is calm in the municipality of Kruja, where the strengthening of the embankment on the Droja River has been completed.

The canals in Borzana are being cleaned and work is underway at the Cudhi unit.

There is waterlogging in agricultural lands.

 

DIBAR DISTRICT

In the municipality of Bulqiza, the situation is stabilized, but work is being done on the axis of the old city. In the municipality of Dibra, work is being done in Luzni, Zall Dardhë, Muhur to open streams.

Normal power supply, except for the village of Vakuf.

The roads of the villages of Vinjoll, Stojan, Derjan, Urxall in the municipality of Mat have been opened.

With the support of the Armed Forces, the situation in Bruç has been normalized.

Work is underway to clean up landslides in the Mali-Lezajtë neighborhood in the municipality of Klos.

 

SHKODRA DISTRICT

In the Shkodra region, rainfall has continued with medium to high intensity.

In the Municipality of Fushë-Arrëz, work is underway to clean the roads, while in Malësia e Madhe there is an increase in the flow of the Thatë stream.

 

BERAT DISTRICT

The situation is being closely monitored due to high flows of the Osum River, there is a risk of overflowing its banks in the Gorica neighborhood.

UKT is intervening in the November 28 neighborhood.

In the Municipality of Poliçan, the waters on agricultural lands have receded.

Meanwhile, in Dimal, there is water present in the agricultural lands of Çiflig and Arrëz.

 

GJIROKASTAR DISTRICT

The Kardhiq–Delvinë, Tepelena–Gjirokastër, and Gjirokastër–Kakavijë axes have been cleared of debris that fell during the night and are now open to traffic.

 

In the regions of Kukës, Tirana, and Elbasan, the situation appears to be stabilized, while in some villages work is underway to restore electricity.

 

The Ministry of Defense, the National Civil Protection Agency, the Armed Forces, and all structures subordinate to them remain on full alert and in constant communication with local and central structures to manage any situation and take the necessary measures in the event of worsening weather conditions.
