In the village of Kamenicë in the municipality of Korça, due to heavy rainfall, the slabs along the river in this village have shifted and blocked the flow of the river, causing water to flow onto the street and into the homes of the residents of this village who are near the river. Meanwhile, the poor quality of the river escarpment has caused part of it to collapse and direct the water towards the homes.

" As you can see, the river has eroded the slopes, which have not been concreted for a year, and it is assumed that they were made with 5 cm of concrete. The slabs on the bridge have cracked and the water is returning to our house. We are in danger!

They've blocked the road, they've put up no-crossing signs, we have sick people at home.

All the homes are at risk, the business nearby has all the water inside.

The entire village is here, on the river side.

They say everything is under control when in fact it is not.

The water level has risen, the first time these things have happened to us. Now this regulation of the river here was done with our taxes and look at the state it is in.

"We are afraid that some of our things in our house will be destroyed. It has rained other times, but it hasn't happened like this, because this happens because the tiles break, block the bridge, and the water is dumped outside near the houses," says resident Ramadan Bezat.

Another resident, Altin Ali, said they have been staying outside for two days for fear of flooding. The problem is due to poor workmanship in the construction of the embankments.

" The situation is very serious, there is flooding, we have been all together outside for two days and water is entering our houses. As you can see for yourself. This situation scares us and we are staying up all night without sleep. A good job has not been done in building the embankment. This work must be done properly. At the moment there are no flooded houses, but the tendency is that water will enter. Water has entered the premises. If the rain continues until the morning, it will enter the houses. We are staying outside the houses in the whole village as you can see. This situation has come from the river (embankment) that was not built well. If the investment had been done well, the river would not have been blocked. The river has not been cleaned once in 30 years.
