The American newspaper "The Washington Post" has dedicated an article to the Special Structure against Corruption and Organized Crime and this institution's fight against corruption, bringing up the case of the arrest of the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

"The Washington Post" quoted the head of the Institute for Political Studies, Afrim Krasniqi, for his assessment of the work of this institution.
