Lushnja Massacre/ The Supreme Court upholds the life imprisonment of Orges

The High Court has dismissed the appeal of Orges Bilbili and Anterio Kaloshi, thus upholding their life imprisonment sentences. The lawyer for the two convicts, Detar Hysi, stated that the High Court did not assess the grounds for the appeal according to the law.

"The Supreme Court has not objectively and in accordance with the law assessed the causes of recourse presented by us, giving this process a privatization nuance. The Supreme Court has seriously violated national security, safety of life and safety of property ," said the lawyer.

Bilbili, Kaloshi and Laert Haxhiu are accused of being the perpetrators of the Lushnja massacre, where Zamir Latifi and Jurgen Hoxha were killed on October 11, 2017 in Lushnja, but the target, Xhulio Shkurti, the nephew of Aldo Bare, the leader of the Lushnja gang, escaped. Marjus Xhepexhiu and Bujar Turku were injured in this attack.
