How does cyber protection work in Albania?

Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku was today at the Cyber ??Security Operational Center (AKCESK) where all cyber threats in our country are monitored and analyzed in real time.

Director General, Igli Tafa explained how cyber protection works.

"It is important to build a network. Important cooperation with international partners. The US and Israel have always been part of the cases where we have shared experiences with them."

Igli Tafa indicates that there are 14 proactive methodologies and 5 active methodologies.

"We have about 14 proactive methodologies that deal with protection before the attacks happen and 5 active ones after the attack happens. We already have active access, we cooperate both before and after the accident. Groups find stimulating methods to reach up to stimulating methods. This makes us proud of the work done."

But where do banks and other systems come in? Are the parties aligned with each other?

"It has been a big challenge between AKCESK and businesses. We are at the stage where we can be called an institution of reliability. Many private sectors have also provided information that was previously unimaginable to share with this institution," said Tafa.

"So from December 2022 we have been more proactive than just active", Balluku said while looking at the data in the table.

“Dhe kemi qenë dominues ndaj armikur nëse mund ta përdorim këtë terminologji. Dhe impakti në infrastrukturat kritike ka qenë io lartë dikur e tani jemi në situatë stabiliteti a qëndrueshmërie.”, shtoi Tafa.

“Në Indeksin Europian në 2021-shin kemi qenë nën 40 për qind e tashmë jemi rreth 70 për qind.”, tha Balluku.

 “Plani jonë është të vazhdojmë akoma më shumë. Arsyeja është se tashmë ne jemi në një rrugtim dhe siguria kibernetike nuk mund të bëhet në një process të shkurtër por të gjatë.”, tha drejtori.

Dhe Balluku u shpreh se shkalla e sigurisë kibernetike duhet të jetë e lartë në një kohë kur dhe shërbimet dixhitale po shtohen./ CNA
