Journalist Artan Hoxha has opened the archives and published an article of March 20, 1995, where the Greek newspaper reported on the massacre of Peshpia.

Referring to the article, Hoxha says that Fredi Beleri, the elected mayor of Himara, was a member of the terrorist commando named "Pirro 1".

He states that Beleri, together with several other members of the commando, were armed to the teeth when they were caught by the police.
