GJKKO has submitted for judgment the file on the case of the candidate who won the elections in Himarë Municipality, Fredi Beleri. 

Fredi Beleri is in prison under the charge of buying votes. 

In a communication to the media, Beler's lawyer stated that the elected mayor of Himara is being held in political prison.

Even Beleri himself, in his statements given from prison to the Greek media, has stated that his imprisonment is political and that he is the only one who has been imprisoned for an electoral crime in these 33 years. 

There has been great interest from the Greek media in this matter, where the interviews of Prime Minister Edi Rama have not been missing.
