The general director of the Archives, Ardit Bido, held this evening with the secretary of OMONIA, Marin Suli.

The latter has claimed that the arrest of the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri, is political, while Bido has mentioned the Peshkepi massacre.

The Director of the Archives stated on Erla Mëhilli's show that Beleri was arrested by Greece for this massacre and accused of being a member of a terrorist organization.

"Fredi Beleri has a long history in this country and in Greece. He was arrested by the Greek state for the massacre of Peshpia. He has been accused by the Greek and Albanian states of being a member of a terrorist organization, responsible for the Peshkepi massacre. And it has not been investigated because the Greek state has not responded to the request letter of the Albanian Prosecutor's Office. We are not dealing with a character who is innocent, because he has been convicted and if he is serving a few days in prison, it has been three years since he was protected by a state", said Bido. / CNA
