Trial for the "Partizani" file/ Session postponed at the GJKKO

The hearing on the "Partizani" file at the Special Court has been postponed. According to information, the next hearing will be held on June 8 at 10:00.

Former Minister of Sports, Ylli Pango, appeared at the Criminal Court of Kosovo today to testify. It is reported that Fatmir Bekteshi, one of the defendants in this case, and his lawyer were not present at today's session.

Meanwhile, after the decision to postpone, Jamarbër Malltezi gave a statement to journalists outside the court premises, saying that they have their arguments ready whenever the hearing takes place.

"The hearing was not held today, it was postponed. We are ready whenever it is held. We have a situation where the witnesses who were called said that the lands were degraded. We have letters and documents from 2006 where they say we did not inventory it because we have an unprecedented situation. We have two changes of destination from Edi Rama. We have the square permit in December 2007 from Edi Rama. Then in February 2008, we have the construction permit again from Edi Rama. We are proud that we have developed our area without evicting any of the residents there. We have done everything with our own money ," said Malltezi. 

In the next session, former ministers Genc Ruli, Altin Ceni, Tetis Lubonja and Paro Laçi are expected to give their testimonies. We recall that in this file, the defendants are former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi and others involved in the investigation. The case is related to the privatization of the "Partizani" multi-sports complex. /CNA
