Pressure on justice before court hearings/ Veliaj today at the Constitutional

The arrested mayor of Tirana on 13 charges for 5 serious criminal offenses, Erion Veliaj, continues his schemes and scenarios from his Durrës prison cell.

Veliaj has set his media machinery in motion to exert pressure on the judiciary, prosecutors and judges, while hearings are expected to take place in the Constitutional Court, the Special Court and the Supreme Court in the last 10 days.

Today, on May 20, a hearing is expected to take place at the Constitutional Court, where Veliaj requests the repeal of the security measure.

While on May 28, a hearing will be held at the High Court, and on May 26, the next hearing will be held at the Special Court.

The mayor, arrested on 13 charges, is seeking his freedom in the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, but has not appeared in court sessions in the Special Court for 9 months, as he is afraid of facing the facts and evidence found by prosecutors who have caught him "red-handed" with corruption, abuse of office, laundering the proceeds of crime, concealing assets, and bringing prohibited items into the cell.

But on the other hand, Veliaj continues to use his servants to attack and exert pressure on justice. He continues with the scenarios of attacks with paid articles and lobbyists in foreign media.
