Albania "blackened" by crimes/ Çuçi: State Police, one
Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi

The Minister of the Interior, Bledi Çuçi, in the conference with the heads of the Police of the European capitals, stated that the State Police is one of the most reliable institutions from the public.

Çuçi stated that organized crime no longer recognizes passports and citizenships, and the only way to fight it is to strengthen cooperation with authorities abroad.

According to the minister, Albania has a contribution to the security of Europe.

"Albania has a significant contribution to the security of Europe. This through active participation in joint police operations.

To give an example, Albania is the first country in the Western Balkans to sign an agreement with Frontex, which follows and has proven successful with the border.

It is known that we have already passed the stage of exchanging information about criminal groups and today we are playing a leading role in international operations to attack criminal groups.

This is a proof of the trust that has been created by European collaborators in the police that wears us with more responsibility.

Today we live with hybrid dangers where organized crime knows no state or passport. I am convinced that it can be fought without borders and without success with cooperation.

I am proud to say that the police is one of the most trusted institutions by the public.

In recent days, we have made 3,000 young people part of the police, maintaining their age. At the same time, we are focused on improving the quality of police education and training.

"Cybercrime is challenging our law enforcement agencies every day and is harming the safety of our citizens," said Çuçi.

Meanwhile, our country is blackened every day by crimes, murders or assassinations. Foreign media often write articles about organized crime, where part of the criminal gangs are Albanian citizens.

Also, events that shocked public opinion are still unsolved.

One of the unsolved mysteries is the disappearance of Ervis Martinaj, who has been missing since August last year.

The police have not yet given details on his fate, while in the previous statements, it is emphasized that there can be no official information without ascertaining what happened to the most wanted Justice.

On the other hand, numerous checks were made in his apartments./ CNA.al
