Hormone therapy service at the QSUT/ Doctor: Controversial preparations, should

Renowned doctor Erion Dasho reacted sharply this Thursday, after the news about the launch of hormonal therapy at the University Hospital.

Through a reaction on social media, Dasho emphasizes that this is a therapy that is still controversial.

As a doctor and citizen, Dasho argues that this therapy should not be offered to children and that this service requires transparency from institutions and especially from the Minister of Health, Evis Sala.

"While Minister Sala was expected to provide preparations for chemotherapy and other life-threatening diseases, the decision is suddenly made for the Albanian public health system to offer preparations for gender reassignment."

As a doctor, I support the right of ADULTS to decide on their sexuality, but neither as a doctor nor as a citizen can I agree that this still controversial therapy should be offered to children.

First, transparency is urgently needed on this decision! If it is true that gender reassignment therapy will also be offered to children, it is confirmed that Minister Sala, Borat and the Renaissance people are, neither more nor less, but executors of the Zoroastrian agenda.

"The only hope for Albanian citizens remains the determined reaction of the opposition and the healthy part of public opinion to oppose this deeply scandalous decision," Dasho writes. /CNA
