The charge d'affaires of the United States in Tirana, David Wisner, during an interview for the Voice of America, expressed appreciation for the work of SPAK.

Wisner emphasizes that independent justice institutions today have taken actions against high politicians suspected of corruption, have taken actions against figures of organized crime.

The US chargé d'affaires underlines that it is of key importance to continue the commitment of the entire Albanian society to fight them because this is what the Albanians really want.

"We have always said that justice reform, the construction of independent institutions in this country, would never be quick, easy, or perfect. And I think that's still true today. But I also think that Albanians should be rightfully proud of the fact that today's independent justice institutions have taken action against senior politicians suspected of corruption, they have taken action against organized crime figures. This kind of progress is not small and it is of key importance that the commitment of the entire Albanian society to fight them continues because this is what the Albanians really want. And we are very proud to stand by the Albanians as they build a better future", Wisner said./ CNA
