The charge d'affaires of the United States in Tirana, David Wisner, has commented on the attacks and threats of the head of the PL, Ilir Meta, against the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani.

Wisner has raised the alarm saying that it is very disturbing to see that kind of attack.

The US chargé d'affaires emphasizes that the US and the US government support justice and the interests of Albanian citizens for a better future.

"If I have seen one thing in the past eight months, whether in the north of Albania, the south of Albania, the east, the west, what really unites Albanians is that they want to see justice. They want to see public servants who are dedicated to what Albanians want and not to their own private interests. This is abundantly clear to anyone, to Albanians of all stripes, and I think it will be very important for all public officials of Albania to keep this in mind.

It is disturbing to see the kind of attacks we have seen. They have no place here and, what is more important, Albanians do not want this. Albanians want their public leaders to work for their interests to make tomorrow better. And I can tell you that this is exactly what the US embassy and the US Government intend to do alongside them", said Wisner for the Voice of America./ CNA
