The American Senate returns to Biden the proposal for the appointment of David Kostelancik as ambassador of Albania

The American Senate has returned to President Biden the proposal for the appointment of David Kostelancik as the new ambassador to Albania. The Senate has neither confirmed nor rejected Kostelancik's candidacy within the deadline it had.

The American president can renominate the returned candidate Kostelancik or nominate a new name for the post of ambassador to our country.

David J. Kostelancik was the candidacy proposed by American President Joe Biden in January 2023 as ambassador of Albania to the USA after the departure of Yuri Kim.

Meanwhile, the new president Trump will be sworn in on January 20, so it is expected that he will appoint the new ambassador as he has already done with other countries./ CNA
