Journalist Rigels Seliman has reacted strongly to people who attack the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) and the United States of America.

Through a status on social networks, journalist Seliman emphasizes that SPAK and the support of the USA are jewels.

He emphasizes that SPAK's work has been applauded, from the opening of important files to the arrest of officials.

"SPAK is a structure that should be preserved as a jewel in Albania. Since the creation of the Special Prosecutor's Office (SPAK) – with the main purpose of fighting high-level corruption and organized crime in the country – the United States of America has been a supporter of the structure. Receiving the "blessing" of the Americans created confidence starting from the opposition to the people - who have often expressed reservations about the functioning of justice (as captured by power). From the opening of important files to the arrest of officials, SPAK's work has been applauded. However, there have been no shortage of accusations. Critics consider it a tool of Prime Minister Edi Rama. Or as former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and President Ilir Meta call them his "political prosecutors". Even Rama himself, who has half of the central and local government in prison or the elected and nominated candidates for SPAK, has attacked the latter quite a few times", writes the journalist, among other things./ CNA
