Pastor Akil Pano spoke about Christmas as a religious holiday, but also about the culinary side, which foods should be consumed and which should be prohibited.
Pastor Akili said that during the four Sundays before Christmas, Christian believers who are practitioners of their own free choice are subject to a food regime related to the spiritual dimension of life.
Believers deprive themselves of meat, products such as sweets, dairy, alcoholic beverages.
"There are 4 Sundays and the date when Christmas falls, which could be any day of the week. Four Sundays are dedicated to the message of Christmas. During these 4 weeks, the believers who are practicing, of their own free choice, are subjected to a food regime related to the spiritual dimension of life. They deprive their lives of certain foods such as meat, products such as sweets, dairy, alcoholic beverages. The only product that is consumed is fish. But even this 1 or 2 times a week and the whole menu is replaced by grains and vegetables."
