Holidays bring back emigrants / Flow at the border points, how many people

There continues to be an increased flow of travelers at the Kapshtica customs office.

In the last 24 hours, 5,655 citizens entered Albania and another 2,527 left.

During daylight hours, the flow was normal and there were no long waits.

The authorities have been working with 5 to 6 counters in alternation, depending on the flow.

Even in Kakavija, there was an increased flow. On December 23, border point services processed 9,499 citizens, of which 6,666 entered and 2,833 exited.

Also, 2,873 vehicles passed through Kakavija, of which 1,922 were entering and 951 were exiting.

The Albanian side is working with 6 counters, 3 at the entrance and 3 at the exit. Meanwhile, the Greek side is working with only two counters, which often leads to waiting lines for immigrants on the other side of the border during the day.

The number of passers-by will continue to be high during the following hours, as Albanians living in Greece are expected to spend the holidays in their homeland./ CNA
