The Chief Prosecutor of the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo, Blerim Isufaj, received today in a working meeting a delegation from the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime of the Republic of Albania, headed by the head of this prosecution, Altin Dumani.

During this meeting, the two chief prosecutors discussed raising the level of cooperation, coordination and efficiency in the fight against crime and strengthening the rule of law in both countries.

Also, Blerim Isufaj and Altin Dumani signed a cooperation agreement for the creation of joint investigative teams, composed of prosecutors from both respective prosecutor's offices.

The purpose of signing this agreement between the two heads of prosecution institutions foresees close cooperation and coordination of the actions of both prosecutions in important areas of the fight against crime that affect the economic, financial and social interests of both countries.

Chief Prosecutor Isufaj and the head of the Special Prosecutor's Office, Dumani, have assessed the signing of this agreement as important, stressing that this is a step towards improving security and the rule of law in the two respective states, as well as towards building a strong partnership between the two institutions of justice./ CNA
