The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, in SPAK

The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has been summoned again to appear before SPAK, CNA learns.

It is expected that the mayor of Tirana will appear in the Special Prosecutor's Office in the following days.

Erion Veliaj will again give his clarifications to SPAK about the facts and new investigative evidence.

Yesterday, his wife, Ajola Xoxa, was questioned by special prosecutors.

SPAK has found new evidence, while continuing the property investigation for Veliaj and his family members.

At the request of SPAK, BKH agents conducted checks a few weeks ago at the apartment of the mayor of Tirana and his wife. He also carried out checks in the offices of Ajola Xoxa, his brother, Arbër Veliaj, as well as in the latter's apartment.

Controls were carried out for 6 individuals, in some businesses and in activities related to close family members of Erion Veliaj.

It is now expected that the mayor will give an account to SPAK for the new evidence found./ CNA
