Archbishop Monsignor Arjan Dodaj has made his public greeting to all the Catholic faithful on the eve of Christmas.

Dodaj appealed for more mutual love and respect towards each other.

The Catholic clergy appealed for the country to be governed by pro-family policies, otherwise we are destined to die out.

"This Christmas, he visits us becoming a child. God visits us in every child that comes to life. No child is a mistake or an accident, but a gift. How much our country needs children today, and how much our children need families, educators, pro-family life policies, otherwise we are destined to extinction with the alarming figures of demographic depletion. How much we need to recover a new awareness of love for what God has created. Let us educate ourselves and educate our children that the Earth is a sacred gift for all, which is needed after 30 years of occupation and consumption. To promote the amazing nature that God has given us and our ancestors have given us since ancient times, so we can also give it to our children. What land, sea, sky and air. We will take nothing with us except works of love and charity, the perfume of which a great Albanian, Saint Teresa, has left us," he said.

There was also an appeal for politicians to recover dialogue, overcoming divisions.
