SPAK prosecutor Vladimir Mara has provided details regarding the mega-operation "URA".  

"It was a joint investigation with the Bari prosecutor and SPAK, with the mediation of Eurjosu."

Parallel investigations were conducted in Italy and Albania, data was exchanged, a clear picture of the criminal group was presented. From the analysis of the data we have managed to reconstruct and document the entire scope of the criminal activity that begins in Albania, in the Puglia area, then throughout the Italian territory and subsequently in EU countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, etc.

We had 5 joint investigative teams. In addition to the data obtained such as telephone interceptions, a total of 30 episodes of drug trafficking were seized in Italy and then 10 in Albania, the Netherlands and several other EU countries. The cycle of drug movement from the country of origin to EU countries was documented.

Italian authorities have investigated, administered the data through Eurojust, and thanks to cooperation, we have achieved today's results.

"Today, security measures have been executed for 52 people. 40 security measures have been executed," Mara said./ CNA
