AMA memorandum of cooperation with the Inspectorate of Social Services

The Audiovisual Media Authority has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services.

The news was announced by the president of AMA, Armela Krasniqi, who, through a status on social networks, writes that this memorandum aims to raise awareness in the audiovisual media sector.

Today we signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Inspectorate of Labor and Social Services.

We reached an agreement with the head of the Inspectorate, Eljo Muçaj, to initiate and strengthen cooperation between our institutions, to take measures, with the aim of increasing information and awareness in the audiovisual media sector in order to implement legal provisions related to working conditions, the protection of employees in the exercise of their profession, salaries, insurance and well-being at work.

We have included in this collaboration:

Organizing joint information and awareness-raising activities, also with the participation of other interested actors, with a focus on the role and obligations of each institution in the audiovisual media sector, as well as the rights and obligations stemming from labor legislation;

Drafting, approving and distributing information materials;

Efficiently exchange the necessary sector information to identify media types, structures, roles and respective responsibilities.

We committed to strengthening cooperation in improving the legal and regulatory institutional framework, with the aim of increasing the effectiveness of the implementation of labor legislation provisions in the audiovisual media sector. Without limitation, cooperation in this regard also includes organizing periodic meetings with trade unions, employee and employer representatives, with the aim of assessing and proposing the need for changes in the legal and regulatory framework, aimed at strengthening the enforcement of labor rights and improving working conditions in this sector./ CNA
