"The pressure of the protest must go towards democracy"/ Koçi:

Former MP Petro Koçi spoke this evening regarding the protest that has been taking place for more than a month against the government.

Koçi stated that the protesters' demands should be reviewed because, according to him, by initially demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama, they have practically said that they do not want the others to be fulfilled.

Among other things, he added that demands related to power are not fruitful for what is claimed.

"They say from the beginning that the prime minister should resign. This is not right. From the beginning, you practically told him that we do not want him to fulfill the points. This is a kind of arrogance. The pressure of the protest should go towards democracy. Meanwhile, the demands related to power, for me, are not fruitful for what is claimed. Power is the "domain" of political parties, not the people. The party needs reflection. The healthy part of the demands requires serious reflection. I have heard that Edi Rama has said that the SP will react to the demands. Reflection is also needed on the issue of justice", said Koçi. /CNA
