The armed clash in Lezha/ The court frees the former head of the administrative unit from prison

6 months ago, the former head of the Administrative Unit of Kallmet in Lezhë, Besnik Simoni, was arrested after an armed conflict with a fellow villager.

Meanwhile, today he was released and the Court of Lezha has decided that the measures against him will be softened and the security measure "house arrest" will be taken. 

The case was examined by judge Artan Hajredinaj, while the lawyer of Besnik Simon asked for the substitution of the measure. This decision was not accepted by the prosecutor Fran?esk Ganaj, who appealed the decision to the Court of Appeal of Shkodra.

We recall that the former head of the Kallmet administrative unit was arrested after a conflict with one of his fellow villagers, Altin Marku. Both were injured, while Altin Marku continues to be in prison./ CNA.al
