Meta worried about teachers' salaries/ "Edi Rama did nothing to change

The head of the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta, has appeared concerned about teachers' salaries, saying that they are underpaid, thus ranking Albania at the bottom in terms of the income a teacher receives.

Meta blames Prime Minister Edi Rama for this, stating that he has not done anything to change the situation in Albanian education.

" INTERNATIONAL TEACHER'S DAY today finds Albanian teachers more poorly paid than all their colleagues in the region and on the continent.

Të dhënat e përpiluara nga Komisioni Europian, të bëra po sot publike nga "Euroneës" e renditin pagën e mësuesit shqiptar të fundit në Europë me rreth 4,233 euro në vit, shumë herë më pak se të ardhurat vjetore nga paga të një mësuesi në Maqedoninë e Veriut, Bosnjë-Hercegovinë, Serbi apo Malin e Zi ku mësuesit paguhen dy herë sa këtu.

Dhjetë vite në pushtet, Edi Rama nuk bëri asgjë për të ndryshuar gjendjen e rëndë në arsimin shqiptar, përkundrazi Dita Botërore e Mësuesit i gjeti sot pedagogët dhe profesorët në protestë për dinjitetin e tyre, trajtim financiar të paktën sa Kosova dhe kushte më të denja mësimdhënie.

Në vend të dëgjojë zërin e arsimtarëve, Qeveria thellon arrogancën deri në mbylljen e shkollave dhe kopshteve, si dhe refuzon të plotësojë kërkesat e tyre plotësisht të drejta dhe të realizueshme.
