BIRN has reported that Erion Veliaj has added a British law firm with offices in London and Singapore to his defense.

These are Erion Veliaj's final rants before the Supreme Court's decision on July 8.

Of course, the last bullets are being fired. Unfortunately, with these moves, Erion Veliaj is not doing anything else, he is simply questioning and overthrowing the entire justice system in Albania, the entire penal system, which was established with the justice reform, when SPAK was also established.

Dozens of officials have been investigated and convicted in a frontal fight against corruption, but apparently to escape from 13 charges, where CNA was finally caught with the 14th by a decision of the Administrative Criminal Court from the same law firm that defends it. ( READ HERE )

The entire justice reform, the penal reform, is being blown up.

They want to blow it up and these types of lobbies are being used by the very ones who financed and supported it, primarily the British.

These moves with lobbying companies are nothing more than the latest travails of Veliaj and people who want to support corruption in the political system in Albania.

Basically everything is a separate scandal because they are saying to press charges and then arrest a person while Erion Veliaj has been caught tampering with evidence and even a serious media outlet like BIRN is being used to pressure justice . In this case, who says the English company was taken over and what?

Albania has a Criminal Code, SPAK structures and prosecutors' offices established by law to implement the law.

Why will lobbyists overturn the law and the Criminal Code in Albania?  Why is Erion Veliaj unjustly kept in prison?!

In fact, it is not unfair, it is with 13 charges, evidence and facts have been collected, two levels of court have left him in custody, he was caught in wiretapping, blackmailing, threatening ministers, journalists, manipulating and others, meanwhile now a serious media like BIRN gives space to a lobbying company on the verge of a scandal because this act committed by lobbyists and the publication of BIRN is pressure on justice and is a real scandal.

To put pressure on not to enforce the law because in fact the court has found everything that happened at its levels to be factually and legally correct.

Only the courts can control the actions of the prosecution, not lobbying companies in England, the US, or anywhere else that exert such pressure on justice before the Supreme Court's decision.

And, here, other media and instruments are also used, like those we heard in the wiretaps with Erion Veliaj.

Acting with a lobbying studio is nothing more than dragging justice by the nose and making prosecutors demand in the courts what lobbying companies want that receive millions and millions of euros for which, in fact, Erion Veliaj is being investigated for these millions of euros of personal corruption benefits and abuse of office, against whom 13 charges have been filed for four serious violations.

So, to grab the Albanian justice system by the nose for Erion Veliaj's interest, to overthrow a system that has been funded by British taxpayers and lobbying companies with millions of euros that they don't know where they come from or what they are.

Albania is not the same as in '90 and '97. Albania has made a justice reform with consensus that now the political parties, after giving them powers, making a Criminal Code and giving powers to prosecutors, want to make lobbyists do the opposite of the will of the financiers of the justice reform in Albania, to get a bag of money with the aim of dragging justice by the nose. For whom? For Erion Veliaj. What a shame!/ CNA
