Civil Emergencies: 7 fires during the day, 2 of them active

According to data from the National Civil Emergency Operations Center at AKMC, 7 fires have been reported in the last few hours.

Of these, 5 fires have been extinguished and 2 fires are active.

After continuous work by operational forces on the ground, it was possible to completely isolate and extinguish the fires in:

1. In the village of Nderfan, Rrëshen administrative unit, Mirditë municipality.

2. In the Astir area, administrative unit 14, Tirana municipality.

3. In the “Ish-Fidanishtja” neighborhood, administrative unit Region 5, Vlora municipality.

4. In the village of Amonica, Sevaster administrative unit, Selenica municipality.

5. In the village of Shijon, Bradashesh administrative unit, Elbasan municipality.

Currently, outbreaks are active in:

1. Vlora Region

In the Himara municipality, the fires in Porto Palermo and in the Qafë Lerë – Llaman area have been extinguished, while the fire in the place called Vumlo near the village of Kudhës was initially isolated, but due to the intensity of the wind and heat, the fire has spread to an area where intervention is difficult due to the difficult terrain. Work is being carried out with emergency vehicles and backpack pumps by the forces of the Ministry of Environment, the Forest Service and the municipality's services company. There is no danger to residential areas.

2. Kukes District.

In the village of Kolsh, Mamëz administrative unit, Kukës municipality, work is underway to extinguish the fire that broke out at the urban waste dump, with 2 fire trucks with 10 personnel, 1 fire engine, 1 excavator, and 4 trucks from the Municipality Services Directorate./CNA
