The Shkodra Prefecture has announced that the situation from floods and rainfall in the municipalities of this region is improving.

Following the continuous monitoring of the situation in the territory of the Shkodra District, based on the information reported by the municipalities and responsible institutions, we inform you that the civil emergency situation appears generally calm and improving at the district level.
In the Municipality of Shkodra, preliminary data show a significant improvement in the situation. The levels of the Drin and Buna rivers have decreased by about 20 cm. In the administrative units of Dajç and Obot, the water level is decreasing, while movement is currently carried out only by high-pass vehicles and no longer by boats. The responsible structures continue continuous monitoring in the field.

According to data administered by the Lezha Irrigation and Drainage Directorate, water levels at monitoring points continue to be below critical quotas, and are presented as follows:

The Velipoja dams continue to operate normally at the -1.90 m level and operate at full capacity, guaranteeing flow management. From field verifications, the embankments and works of art do not present any problems and operate under normal conditions.
