Floods/ Minister Lamallari inspects the situation in Durres prison

The Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari, was at the Durrës Penitentiary Institution today to see up close the situation after the floods.

Lamallari said that all necessary measures have been taken, starting with the disconnection of electricity on the first floor of the institution and the evacuation of the people of this institution.

The Minister also said that the Civil Emergencies Commission is functioning in Durrës, so that everything returns to normal.

" We are here at the Durrës Penal Execution Institution, together with the General Director of Prisons and the Director of the Institution, to closely monitor the situation. Of course, all necessary measures have been taken, such as cutting off electricity on the first floor, evacuating people staying near this institution on the upper floors, and we also have the support of high-capacity pumps from the Ministry of Defense. At the same time, the civil emergencies commission in Durrës is fully functioning to guarantee that everything goes within normal limits ," said Lamallari.
