Rainfall inflows in the Drini cascade/ Discharges begin at the Koman and Vau i

Since yesterday, as a result of increased flows in the Drini cascade, controlled discharges have begun from the Koman HPP and the Vau i Dejës HPP, with a current amount of 700 m³/second.

The District Civil Emergency Commission is in constant coordination with KESH to monitor the water situation and, to date, no worrisome issues have been identified.

As a result of the heavy rainfall, the flows in streams and rivers have increased significantly, but so far no problems have been observed in the drainage channels, embankments, KUL and the Shkodra Reservoir dam. The water level in the Old Buna Bridge remains below the danger level.

The Drin, Kir and Gjadra rivers have recorded increased flows, but their levels are still below flood risk quotas. Likewise, the Shkodra Reservoir is below critical quotas.

The Viluni and Cas hydroelectric plants are in operation with five pumps each and are ready to work at full capacity if needed./CNA
