Bad weather "invades" the country/ Here's how the situation looks

High intensity rainfall has covered the entire territory of the country since the early hours of today.

As a result, several problems have been identified. From the very beginning, all structures under the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy have been and continue to be on the ground intervening to normalize the situation.

ROAD AXES

•In the northern area, rainfall has been of high intensity, bringing rocks and debris to the road and large water flows.

•There was snowfall on the Bogë-Theth axis.

Axis where there were problems:

•Bajram Curri–Valbona

•Bujan–Qafë Morinë Bridge

•Bajram Curri–Fierzë

•Dedaj-Bogë

•Kukës–Krumë

•Kukës–Shishtavec – Skuraj–Peshkopi

•Dushaj–Lekbibaj at km 4, a landslide has occurred, making traffic difficult, work is underway to remove the material from the passing part of the road.

•On the Vorë-Maminas axis at km 2 there is the presence of water on the road.

•Contractors with equipment and workers have been on the ground without interruption to clean the roads.

ELECTRICITY SUPPLY

•Currently, there are 22 feeders out of service nationwide, with the most affected region being Durrës, affected by bad weather and the presence of water in the cabins.

•All lines supplying the hydropower plants are in operation, except for the segment in Synej, Kavaja, which is currently being worked on.

•35kV lines and substations are normally supplying electricity.

 TRANSMISSION NETWORK

•All 400 kV, 220 kV and 110 kV lines are in normal operation.

•All line and substation brigades are on standby.

•At the Rrashbull 220/110 kV Substation there is increased water presence in the substation square. OST teams, in cooperation with Civil Emergencies, are taking the necessary measures to evacuate the water.

SITUATION IN THE DRIN CASCADE

•As a result of high intensity rainfall, flows at the Koman HPP and the Vau i Dejës HPP continue to remain high, with no downward trend.

•Currently, these production units are operating at full capacity, with a total of 9 aggregates in operation. The incoming water is processed to operate the production units, is reserved in lakes within the allowed quotas, and the rest is discharged in a mandatory manner, in order to guarantee the safety of the production works.

WATER SUPPLY

Durres Region

•The situation appears problematic, as a result of the high-intensity rainfall that continues without interruption.

•All pumping stations are fully operational.

•The level of the hydrovor channel is maximum;

•The situation is assessed as serious, with a risk of worsening due to continued intense rainfall.

•The relevant structures are on the ground and are continuously monitoring the situation.
