At the request of the Elbasan Prosecutor's Office, security measures are being issued for 3 former officials, who, using their positions, coerced a citizen to benefit from his wealth.

Today, the security measures 'Obligation to report to the judicial police' and 'Prohibition of leaving the country' were imposed and executed against three former state officials, Glodian Ahmetaj, Klevis Hoxha and Devis Ago, Director of the AMP, Judicial Police Officer and Director of the Municipal Police, suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Coercion by threat or violence for the provision of property" committed in collaboration, provided for by article 109/b/1 and 25 of the Criminal Code.

Announcement:

The investigations into criminal proceedings no. 238, dated 02.03.2026, were initiated on the basis of material received for competence by the Special Prosecution Office against Corruption and Organized Crime.

From the investigation so far, there is reasonable suspicion that former officials GA, KH and DA, while exercising their duties, using their functions as Director of the AMP, Judicial Police Officer and Director of the Municipal Police, in collaboration, have coerced citizen AB, a commercial entity, by means of violence, unjustly seizing his property with the aim of not carrying out controls on the entity that this citizen administers, violating the legal relations that protect personal freedom and private property.

Investigations into this matter are continuing as a priority, in cooperation with the judicial police services of the Police Supervision Agency, with the aim of further documenting the criminal activity.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan expresses its commitment to the priority investigation of groups of offenses related to criminal offenses against personal freedom as well as illegal enrichment that violate the property rights of citizens . /CNA
