Political scientist Ermal Hasimja commented today on the more than two weeks of citizen protests against the government. 

In a television appearance, Hasimja stated that the message of the protest should also be represented politically.

According to the political scientist, the opposition should reflect these demands in the Assembly, while support should also come from other political parties and citizens.

Hasimja added that regardless of political beliefs, the common denominator of the protests is the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the departure of the government.

"I think that the opposition will have to reflect in Parliament the demands of the square, the demands of the protest, regardless of other demands that may have been expressed during the protests. There are also democrats, supporters of other parties or citizens with different beliefs, but the message of the protest must be represented politically. What unites everyone there in the square, regardless of whether they are right or left, is a single demand. The common denominator for all is the resignation of Edi Rama and the departure of the government. Any other more specific demand remains secondary in the face of this goal", - Hasimja said. /CNA
