The Supreme Court overturns the seizure of Ahmetaj's assets, the case is

The Supreme Court has decided to overturn the decision to seize Arben Ahmetaj's assets and return the case for review to the Special Appeal.

The decision was issued this Thursday by Judge Gent Shala, who overturned Judge Dhimitër Lara's previous decision to seize three of Ahmetaj's properties.

According to the Supreme Court's decision, the file will be reviewed again by the Special Appeal with a different judicial panel, returning the process to the retrial phase.

The decision paves the way for a reassessment of the measure of sequestration of the assets in question, while the Special Appeal is expected to conduct a new review of the case and make a new decision on the request./ CNA
