Clashes over a video on social media about the protest/ Couple threatened

A debate that began after the publication of a video on social media has ended with a report of intimidation at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana.

According to the Police, on June 17, 2026, citizen RM came forward, reporting that during the protest held the day before, on June 16, he was threatened by citizen GP after a debate regarding a video published on a social network. The video alleged that GP prevented citizens from speaking at the podium.

The complainant stated that GP addressed him with words that he considered threatening. He also claimed that both he and his wife feel threatened by the citizen in question.

On the other hand, the Police also questioned citizen GP, ??who admitted that he had sought clarification regarding the video published on the social network.

"We clarify that on 17.06.2026, citizen RM appeared at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana, reporting that during the protest held on 16.06.2026, he was threatened by citizen GP, ??after a debate regarding the publication of a video on a social network, where it was alleged that citizen GP prevented citizens from speaking at the podium.

According to the report, the latter addressed him with words that the complainant considered threatening.

Also, the complainant stated that he and his wife feel threatened by citizen GP.

The police called and took a statement from citizen GP, ??who admitted that he had sought clarification from the complainant about the video published on a social network.
