They had cultivated cannabis in Kurbin/ One person in handcuffs, his accomplice

Kurbin police have cracked down on a case of narcotic plant cultivation in the village of Fushë Gjormë.

As a result, a person was arrested who was in the area where the necrotic plants were cultivated, and his accomplice was declared wanted.

2 vehicles, 1 cell phone and other items were also seized.

The operation codenamed "Vigjilenca 2" is finalized, 1 case of cultivation of narcotic plants is detected, in the village of Fushë Gjormë.

One citizen was caught red-handed at the place where the narcotic plants were being cultivated and was put in handcuffs. Efforts are underway to capture his accomplice.  

Following intensive controls throughout the territory of the Lezha district, to prevent, identify and crack down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants, the services of the Kurbin Police Commissariat, based on operational work, finalized the operation codenamed "Vigilenca 2".

During the operation, in the territory of the village of Fushë Gjormë, 1820 suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants were found, which were destroyed by burning. 

Police services caught the drug plants red-handed at the place where they were cultivated and arrested citizen N. Xh., 40 years old, resident of Krujë, suspected of cultivating these plants.

Also, citizen AK, 54 years old, resident of Fushë Milot, was declared wanted, suspected of being an accomplice in this criminal activity.

As material evidence, 2 vehicles, 1 cell phone and other items were seized that will serve the investigation to document this case. 

Anti-cannabis controls continue throughout the county. 

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lezha, for further action.
