"Construction has turned into a money laundering machine"/

Democratic Party MP Belind Këlliçi has accused the government and the prime minister of turning the construction sector into a money laundering machine, describing this sector as deformed by the influence of crime and corruption.

According to him, construction in the country has become a mechanism that serves to launder money, while adding that this situation has facilitated the activity of traffickers.

He emphasized that not all construction businesses are involved in these practices, but according to him, the market has been significantly distorted.

Këlliçi also focused on the investigations, stating that he does not believe that SPAK will reach Prime Minister Edi Rama.

"Instead of burying tons of euros, they are making bricks and mortar. Rama has turned the construction sector into a money laundering machine, he has made life easier for traffickers. Not all businesses in the construction sector are the same. He has destroyed the market, he has destroyed supply and demand, he has made it impossible for citizens to buy apartments. The mechanisms have started to multiply in the last 10 years. SPAK will not go to Rama", said Këlliçi./ CNA
