Peleshi meets with Croatian counterpart/ In focus, Croatia's support for Albania's integration

The Speaker of the Albanian Parliament, Niko Peleshi, is in Croatia, where he will participate in the Parliamentary Summit of the Three Seas Initiative, an important inter-regional forum that aims to strengthen economic, energy and infrastructure cooperation in Europe and beyond, between the countries of the Adriatic, Baltic and Black Seas.

During his stay in Zagreb, Peleshi held a meeting at the Croatian Parliament with his counterpart, Gordan Jandrokovic. Peleshi thanked his counterpart Jandrokovic for Croatia's continued support for Albania's membership in the European Union.

"Croatia's experience in the EU accession process is an important model for Albania," emphasized President Peleshi, while suggesting the exchange of expertise and experience within the framework of the accession negotiations.

Peles and Jandrokovic praised bilateral relations and the joint commitment to deepening the strategic partnership between the two countries.

The meeting discussed expanding cooperation in important sectors such as energy, infrastructure, defense, economic development, agriculture, science and tourism, paying special attention to professional training in tourism and environmental protection, especially from coastal pollution.

An important part of the discussions was devoted to the intensification of the very good parliamentary cooperation at all levels and between committees, friendship groups and deputies. The parties also discussed the partnership for ensuring security, stability and peace protection, cooperation within NATO, international organizations and regional initiatives.

The meeting also appreciated the role of the Albanian community in Croatia, which is considered an important bridge of friendship between the two countries. The visit of the Speaker of the Parliament to Zagreb and the participation in the Three Seas Initiative Summit are expected to contribute to the further strengthening of political, economic and regional cooperation between Albania and Croatia. /CNA
