Opposition protest/EU Delegation in Tirana: All actors must distance themselves

The European Union Delegation to our country has reacted regarding the opposition protest that took place on March 22. In a reaction to the media, the delegation emphasizes that everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly.

Among other things, it adds that the use of violence cannot be justified and all actors must distance themselves from it. It further adds that the opposition has an important role to play in parliament and the democratic life of the country.

"The EU Delegation in Tirana reiterates that everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly, as provided for in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.

"The use of violence cannot be justified for any reason and all actors must distance themselves from it.
