The country's capital appears set to undergo a new chapter of change through the Administrative-Territorial Reform.

As the socialist co-chair of the commission for this reform, Arbjan Mazniku, stated to A2 CNN, it is about a review and reassessment of the current state of the governance level of Tirana.

According to Maznik, an element that could be added is the inclusion of the operation of the "Mother Teresa" Airport.

Mazniku also emphasized that the possibility of a special chapter for the capital in the law on local government is also being considered.

"The airport that serves Tirana the most, but also with the capacity to operate around Tirana, would undoubtedly be one of the things that would make a lot of sense to look at. It is one of the things that we are looking at and evaluating. And it is appropriate that we not necessarily have a special law for Tirana, but also a special chapter in the law on local government", said Mazniku. /CNA
