Albania's reaction to the Serbian minister's statement/Sveçla:

Kosovo's Minister of Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, spoke this evening regarding the statements of Serbian Minister, Snezhana Paunovic.

In a connection with "Now with Erla Mëhillin" on Euronews Albania, Sveçla said that she expected a more concrete and active reaction from Albania regarding the minister's statements.

According to the minister, there needs to be an "unmasking of Belgrade's two-faced behavior," as according to him, there are problems not only with Kosovo but with Albanians.

"Of course, since Albania is the homeland of Albanians and since the Albanian Constitution itself states that it is an obligation to protect Albanians and their interests, I expect more. It means that I expect a factual, active reaction to these threats. Because these are not statements, these are also threats, which are based on the past, as I said, very painful for us, and on the behavior of Serbia. I believe that Albania's reaction should be more concrete and more active. This was an MP, where she was part of the Serbia-Albania Friendship Group, in which, unfortunately, Serbian chauvinists participated. This two-faced behavior of Belgrade needs to be exposed, because there are no problems with Kosovo, but problems with Albanians ," said Sveçla. /CNA
