The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, has requested increased engagement of police structures to guarantee public order and security, especially during the tourist season.

He requested maximum commitment to preventing criminal incidents, timely investigation of cases, and responsible handling of any concerns raised by citizens.

According to him, every case must be followed up with professionalism until the full completion of investigative procedures.

A special focus was placed on increasing the presence of the Police in the field, improving public safety services and increasing road safety parameters, with the aim of ensuring a rapid response to the needs of citizens and tourists.

Hita emphasized the importance of respecting police ethics, integrity and increasing the performance of every State Police employee.

During the meeting, it was also requested to intensify the fight against the cultivation and distribution of narcotics, including cultivation in closed environments and on the ground. According to the head of the State Police, combating this phenomenon remains a priority for the protection of public safety and young people.

The focus of the new tasks is also on cracking down on illegal possession of weapons, apprehending wanted persons, combating illegal gambling, environmental crimes, and increasing results in all areas of police activity.

Regarding the fire situation, Hita requested maximum commitment to preventing cases of arson, identifying and arresting perpetrators, underlining that protecting the lives of citizens, property and the environment is a priority.

At the end of the meeting, the General Director of the State Police requested that local leaders and heads of police stations be actively in charge of services, increase their presence in problematic areas and strengthen cooperation with other law enforcement institutions to guarantee security throughout the country./ CNA
