In an interview for the Voice of America, the elected president of the Association for Albanian Studies in the United States of America, Dr. Ines Murzaku, talks about her vision at the head of the organization. Mrs. Murzaku, who officially starts her duties in January 2023, says that she will focus on building bridges of scientific-academic cooperation, with scientific research centers that deal with Albania and Albanians, wherever they live.
Founded in 1978, this association attracts young and old researchers or experts mainly from North America. It aims to give impetus to study, criticism and professional research in all aspects of Albanian culture, society and politics, focusing mainly on Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro.
Mrs. Murzaku also talks about the role of the association in Kosovo's efforts to reach a final agreement with Serbia, as well as the role of the diaspora in all Albanian issues./ VOA
