EU Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi has expressed his readiness to support Albania to fulfill all the conditions of negotiations towards EU membership.

Varhelyi said that the goal is for Albania to be well-prepared when the time comes to become part of the EU.

“Çast dhe moment historik për BE-në dhe për Shqipërinë. Nëse ka diçka të mençur që und të themi për Shqipërinë është që durimi strategjik është shpërblyer. Shqipëria është një vend kandidat me qëllimin e qartë për tu anëtarësuar në BE. Përgjatë gjithë këtyre viteve kemi punuar fort dhe kemi qëndruar në krah tuaj. Kjo konferencë shënon një kapitull të ri ne marrëdhënien me BE. Shqipëria vijon të përmbushë të gjitha kushtet për të hapur negociatat e anëtarësimit. Lufta kundër korrupsionit dhe krimit të organizuar janë për tu lavdëruar.
