From September 1, the salary increase for mayors, vice-mayors, directors and other employees of the local government came into force. The increase, which is covered by the state budget, varies from 30-40% for each position.
But how does the salary level change based on the mayors?
The record for the highest salary is held by Erion Veliaj, the so-called zdromsi of Tirana . Specifically, for the Municipality of Tirana, the minimum limit of the mayor's salary is 268,000 Lek per month and the maximum is 318,000 Lek per month. For the vice-mayors of this municipality, the maximum limit reaches 270,000 ALL per month (some of them are unknown).
Veliaj will be paid from 2,700,000 to 3,200,000 ALL per month.
The mayor of Tirana will receive the money of almost 20 pensioners with minimum pension in the city and 12 pensioners with maximum pension. With pensions in the village it is 30 to 40 salaries of pensioners.

Thefts, abuses, "5D" schemes are not enough, affairs like incinerators are not enough, but the citizens of Tirana must pay the head of the organization of thieving directors.
A pensioner who can't make ends meet with his income, can't pay for medicine, lights, water, barely provides daily bread, often a few baskets of food are a luxury for them, while in front of them is Erion Veliaj who will be paid 20 times . They have worked and contributed all their lives, now they have to live on alms, while a person caught alive with thieving directors who also acts as a lawyer, lives like a sheikh.
In fact, the mayor of Tirana only has 20 times his salary, since it costs even more to the residents of the capital. Travel expenses, cars, services inside and outside the country, other extra payments, without forgetting drivers, secretaries, advisors, companions, etc. are paid to the family.
If these are collected easily, they show us that the mayor of Tirana, Zdromsi Veliaj, costs up to 100 pensions per month.
This does not include the figures of millions of euros of theft by his subordinates, the economic damages invoiced by KLSH or SPAK in the municipality of the capital.
With all these abuses in the almost 10 years that Tirana has been ruled by Veliaj, pensions would not be indexed by 4.1% but would have an increase that would not really be alms for the pensioners.
Thefts, scandals and corruption in the municipality of Tirana are fine, but its citizens must already pay more than 3 million lek in salary. / CNA
