The application process for a judge in the Constitutional Court is closed/ The

The Supreme Court has announced the closure of the application procedure for a judge in the Constitutional Court. The Deputy President of the Supreme Court, based on Article 125, point 1 of the Constitution as well as Article 7/ç of Law no. 8577, dated 10.02.2000, "On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania", amended, on 28.10.2022, made a public announcement to fill the vacancy in the Constitutional Court, as a result of the end of the mandate of Mrs. Annual Tusha.

After the end of the 30-day deadline for accepting requests, no new requests were submitted by candidates to the Supreme Court to fill this vacancy.

Meanwhile, the candidates who have previously expressed interest in this vacancy, after the announcement of the vacancy on 31.01.2022, continue to be:

1. Mr. Elsa Miha

2. Mr. Holta Zaçaj; which have reconfirmed that they stand by their interest to continue running for the vacant position, whose appointing body is the Supreme Court.
